Warm and Cozy Christmas Home Tour

| | | | |

Welcome to my warm and cozy Christmas home tour! If you are coming over from one of my friend’s beautiful homes, I’m so happy you’re here. We are all decked out for the holidays and I’m so excited to welcome you into our home for a tour. Even Oliver is waiting at the door for you to come in!

This year’s decor is all about warm and cozy colors and textures and that starts at the front door.

Pine, cypress, natural branches, and pinecones greet you on the way in and are a preview of what you will find inside.

Traditional Christmas in the Dining Room

As you enter the front door, the dining room is directly to your left. I change the decor in this room often, using different linens and table decor.

This season I created two different looks. The first is a traditional table with a pine centerpiece and tartan plaid accents. I love using a crisp white tablecloth as a base for a beautiful Christmas centerpiece and the tartan ribbon is a perfect way to dress up the place settings.

I included some copper accents to dress up the look and give the table a warm glow.

Vintage Christmas in the Dining Room

The other look that I created in the dining room is a warm and cozy vintage Christmas table setting. I used soft colors and vintage-inspired decor to dress the table.

Glittered trees, mercury glass and frosted greenery all mix together for a festive holiday table that is elegant and soft. Isn’t it amazing how different this room looks with two different color palettes!

Warm Christmas Colors in the Living Room

As you pass through the entry, you enter the living room. This is a room that does not get used often but is seen by everyone who comes into our home, so it is fun to decorate in a more dramatic way.

This year I got a new 9′ flocked King of Christmas Tree, so I wanted to make a dramatic statement with my decor but still keep it warm and cozy.

I used copper and burgundy ribbon on the tree and added champagne and copper ornaments. I decorated the table with warm leather accents and more copper.

The overall look is warm and cozy, but the colors are not traditional Christmas tones which is just how I like it!

Neutral Christmas in the Kitchen

Our kitchen is truly the heart of our home and is the place where everyone gathers during the holidays. I like to add just a few neutral Christmas decor touches to the kitchen, but generally, keep the look simple and clean.

I put a frosted garland on the range hood with a large glittered pine cone in the center and added some copper accents to my glass-front cabinets.

A pitcher filled with winter greenery and a wreath above the sink says Christmas without being too bold.

I enjoy baking during the holidays and many of my favorite recipes start right here.

Cozy Christmas in the Breakfast Nook

Our breakfast nook sits directly next to the kitchen, and most mornings you will find me here, with the Dutch door open, enjoying a cup of coffee

This space is extra cozy and is where we eat most of our casual family meals. I kept the Christmas decor simple here.

Just some touches of green and copper alongside a few pinecones.

I have collected quite a few vintage copper pieces, and this small shelf is a wonderful place to display them during the holidays.

Plaid Christmas in the Family Room

Besides the kitchen, this is the most used room in our home. We all snuggle in here to watch movies or gather with friends. It was important to me that the Christmas decor be simple and cozy in this room, so I chose traditional green and blue tartan plaid accents to mix with chunky knit details.

I decorated the tree with the tartan plaid ribbon then added shades of blue and platinum ornaments and garland.

A full garland on the console table is the perfect base for more bottle brush trees and some rustic lanterns.

And these darling plaid stockings are my new favorites! Aren’t they cute!?

Warm and Cozy Christmas in the Bedroom

This is the first year I have put Christmas decor in our bedroom and I have to say, I LOVE IT! There is something so warm and cozy about having a Christmas tree in the bedroom.

I find myself lingering longer on weekend mornings and getting into bed for a holiday movie before going to sleep.

The glow of Christmas has reached every corner of our home and we are all in the holiday spirit. This means time with friends and family, a very busy kitchen with lots of yummy food, and many days snuggled up on the couch with the kids…all of my favorite things wrapped into one beautiful month!
