Welcome Spring: Easy Front Porch Decorating
Hello Friends! I’m so happy you are joining me for our Spring Blog Hop hosted by my sweet friend Kendra, at Joy In Our Home. If you are coming over from visiting Jenn and Vicki at 2 Bees in a Pod, welcome! Here in Southern California, we are seeing the first signs of spring as green leaves are beginning to sprout and the first blooms are appearing on the trees. It is such a lovely time of year and I am welcoming the new season with some simple and easy front porch decorating.

Our front porch is a truly magical place to have a morning cup of coffee or an evening drink while enjoying the view from the rocking chairs.

I started my porch decorating by adding a sola flower wreath to the front door. I love the way it coordinates with my porch urns and signals the start of a bright new season.
I also replaced my winter doormat with a new, wool rug that made a surprising difference in the overall look of my porch.

The next step was to refresh the plants in the urns on either side of the door. I chose some light purple scabiosa and white anemone from the nursery to plant in the tall urns. I love the soft color and delicate stems on these flowers.

Next to the urns, I added a vintage wood bucket filled with some pretty white flowers (that I don’t know the name of), a couple of my favorite lanterns and a ceramic urn filled with fresh stock.

On the opposite side of the door, I used many of the same elements, but substituted a basket filled with flowering vines for the vintage bucket.

On the rocking chairs I replaced my winter pillows with some new lightweight linen ones that I got recently. I love how affordable these are and that they coordinate with the wreath and urns.

The final touch was a small ceramic urn, planted with stock, on the round accent tables.

Decorating my front porch for spring was incredibly easy with the addition of a few spring flowers and some fresh, light pillows. If you’re ready to brighten up your front porch, I’ve included affiliate links below with some great options.
