Traditional Thanksgiving Table With Copper and White Accents

| | | |

A traditional Thanksgiving table with copper and white accents sets the stage for our annual holiday get-together. With the addition of easy to make stenciled placemats, the table is dressed for a fall feast.

As we near the end of October, I am making plans for our annual Thanksgiving day party. We will be hosting about 25 friends and family for a traditional Thanksgiving feast and of course, I am already thinking about how to set my tables.

I have been imagining a traditional Thanksgiving table with copper and white accents for quite some time, but I wanted to include a special element, so I used crisp white napkins to make “Thankful” placemats for each place setting.

See exactly how I made these “placemats” by clicking HERE.

I folded each napkin to create a square on the tabletop and let the stenciled triangle hang over the edge.

This created the perfect base for a pewter charger and a stack of pretty country plates.

I love mixing metal elements, so next to the pewter charger I used copper flatware and then added a vintage copper mug to use for water.

This combination created the traditional look I wanted to achieve, but in the casual style, I love so much. Oh, and did you notice the subtle pop of color with the sage green napkin?!

For the centerpiece, I grabbed my favorite vintage copper bucket and filled it with a simple arrangement of seeded eucalyptus, white hydrangea, and cream roses. This is a really easy centerpiece to put together in minutes with flowers that are generally available at the market.

You can see step by step directions on how to put together a similar arrangement by clicking HERE and HERE.

I placed the centerpiece on a naturalcolored woven fiber table runner and added a few faux white pumpkins and oversized acorns on either side.

The colors worked beautifully with the tones on the place settings and created the traditional Thanksgiving table I was dreaming about.

I love that the white placemats give the table a more formal look without being too fussy.

I hope this gives you a bit of inspiration for a simple traditional Thanksgiving table with some pretty copper and white accents. I’m still tinkering with my Thanksgiving table ideas and will definitely be sharing at least one more concept with you guys in the coming weeks!

Have a Beautiful Day!
