Easy DIY Rose Centerpiece for Under $20

Whether you just want some beautiful flowers in your home or are planning a special event on a budget, grocery store flowers can be a great resource! Today I’m showing you how to make an easy DIY rose centerpiece for under $20 that will be perfect to brighten up your home or make your wedding or party extra beautiful!

I am also joined by 15 other bloggers who are sharing their grocery store flower arrangements and tips. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post to see everything!

For this centerpiece, I purchased one dozen blush roses from my local supermarket for $15. When I got them home, I gave the stems a fresh cut and put them in water so they would open a bit more before I arranged them. On the second day, they were open and beautiful, so I decided to make a pretty arrangement for our lunch table.

I always start with greenery when I am arranging flowers, so I foraged in our yard and cut a few different branches from the shrubs and trees. I stripped the lower leaves from the stems (to keep the water from getting contaminated) and arranged them in a milk bucket in an asymmetrical shape.

I love the casual, natural look of an asymmetrical centerpiece.

I added two roses at different angles to the greenery that I had in place. I always cut a little bit longer that I think I need and then adjust until I get the right length.

Then I add in some shorter roses to the front and middle of the arrangement.

Finally I fill in the spaces by adding different length stems throughout.

I love the simplicity of this arrangement and even better, it only took minutes to make!

I especially like the combination of this rose centerpiece with the vintage tablecloth I recently found at a local shop. I have been hunting for some fun, vintage linens recently and this floral cloth is one of my favorites.

I recently found some great vintage tablecloths on ETSY! You can shop them HERE.

I was happy to find matching napkins for this table cloth which mixed with a pink patterned salad bowl, makes a perfect lunch table.

It is truly easy to make a beautiful rose centerpiece for less than $20 with some foraged greenery and a bunch of market flowers. If you need a little beautiful in your home or are planning an event, this is a great way to make a big impact on a budget!

  1. Oh I love your beautiful roses arrangement accented by your vintage tablecloth and napkins. I have collected vintage tablecloths for years. They are so happy and cheerful looking. I have even repurposed and sewn them into aprons and potholders. Your table is such a joyful and inviting setting.
