I started by I moving this small wood table and four chairs next to the fireplace in our family room. This was originally a desk in my flower studio and the chairs were extras in our dining room, but they made a perfect setting for four around the fire.
TIP: Use an existing small table and chairs to create a romantic table setting next to the fireplace.
I did not want to get too fussy with the table setting, so I created a simple rose petal table runner down the center and sprinkled mercury glass candle holders along the length of the table.
TIP: 6-8 roses are all that’s needed to create a beautiful rose petal table runner.
A simple off-white place setting with gray embossed edges worked perfectly on the rustic wood table topped with a white linen napkin.
The addition of blush pink coupe glasses added a special touch to this romantic fireside table setting.
TIP: Choose one special element for your table, such as blush champagne glasses.
Soft blankets nearby, make for an extra cozy table.
I love the glow of a fireplace next to a dining table.
As a special added touch, I used faux plum blossoms and peonies to decorate the fireplace mantle. The contrast of spring flowers next to a warm fire is the perfect Valentine’s Day setting.
This is truly a simple and easy table setting that only took minutes to create, yet exudes romance and warmth for a beautiful celebration of love.
If you want to celebrate the loved ones in your life this Valentine’s day, consider a romantic fireside table setting. No matter what you serve, it always tastes better by a crackling fire.
TIP: Keep it simple by ordering take-out to enjoy by the fire.
