Fresh and Bright Spring Home Tour

| |

Given our current circumstances, I feel a bit strange posting photos of my home, as if everything is “normal” right now. I want you to know that I do not take this situation lightly, but I also choose to carry on with my life as normally as I can under the circumstances. My hope is that the need to spend more time in our homes helps to inspire creating beautiful spaces to find sanctuary in the midst of the turmoil outside. So with that in mind, I am sharing my spring home tour today along with several of my talented friends!

If you are coming over from My 100 Year Old Home, welcome! I am so happy you are here. Leslie has such a beautiful and inviting home and I am always inspired by her decor!

IN THE ENTRYWAY

This spring, I am focused on beautiful but easy floral arrangements to add fresh and bright elements to our home. I have always been a fresh flower girl, but I have recently discovered some amazing faux florals that look so incredibly realistic I decided to use them in my spring decor!

These beautiful (faux) lilacs are the perfect addition to my entryway. In a simple oversized vase, nothing more is required to add a touch of spring.

IN THE KITCHEN

In my kitchen, I removed all of the copper elements that I added for fall and winter and replaced them with some wood and metal pieces. I also added some faux lilacs in a vintage bucket. They make the perfect centerpiece on our island and only took minutes to make.

I am also completely obsessed with these gorgeous, white cherry blossoms. They are the most realistic faux flowers I have ever seen and they look beautiful no matter where I put them in my kitchen!.

I love the look of the two metal trays against the backsplash in our kitchen. They completely change the look from our fall/winter decor and yet are so simple to add.

Alongside some white ceramic pitchers and wood breadboards, our kitchen got a bright and fresh update in just minutes!

IN THE DINING ROOM

I shared my simple dining room refresh on the blog recently but I wanted to give you a quick look in case you missed it. I added a beautiful, floral art print about the sideboard, that completely transformed the room.

An in my quest to find realistic faux flowers, I discovered these gorgeous white peonies that are the perfect compliment to my new artwork.

And at the end of the dining room, I put a faux olive tree in an urn that used to be on our front porch and added a couple of my favorite lanterns beside it.

This was such a simple refresh in our dining room and only took minutes to complete.

IN THE LIVING ROOM

I decided to add some bold pops of color in my living room this season with bright pink peonies and wisteria.

Against the neutral palette of my living room, the bright colors stand out and make a huge impact

I polished my vintage silver pitchers and filed them with faux fuschia peonies. I arranged them on the large table in the living room using stacked books and an old leather suitcase.

They added such a beautiful pop of color to the table, that I decided to complete the look in the living room with a faux wisteria that I recently got.

I literally dropped the wisteria in a vintage urn and fluffed it up. The result was a gorgeous centerpiece for the coffee table. The stunning hot pink accents in my living room add such a beautiful spring vibe and again, only took minutes to complete.

IN THE BEDROOM

I also shared my spring bedroom decor on the blog this week. I have been slowly working on some changes in our bedroom over the past few months and everything finally came together just in time for spring.

I added some new artwork and mirrors on the wall behind our bed, which totally transformed the look of the room. Because we have some wood paneling on this wall, it was difficult to choose pieces that fit and made sense. The monotone botanical prints and neutral mirrors ended up being the perfect accents on this wall.

Another addition was this table/desk next to the bed. I moved this table from our outdoor patio into the bedroom a couple of months ago and added a petit linen chair to create a desk area. It turns out I love working here, beside the French door. It is a truly peaceful place to spend time.

On the opposite side of the bed, I placed a white vase filled with (faux) lilacs on a vintage table. I love that the wood on the table matches the wood on our bedframe, yet it is not a matched set.

And to add a bit of spring freshness, I used some large white Eurosquare shams and a white quilt as a backdrop for my linen bedding. Two linen and blue accent pillows complete the look.

I’m so happy you came by to see our fresh and bright spring home tour today. I chose to keep everything very simple and easy this year and used elements that I will be able to repurpose in upcoming seasons.

I hope you will scroll down to see all of the inspiration my friends are sharing on their spring home tours. Next up is my friend Deb from Seeking Lavender Lane. Head over and see what she is sharing and tell her I said hello!

Have a beautiful day my friends! STAY HEALTHY!!
